Self-care. What is it? 50 for 50

The same day that I posted my first 50 for 50 post about my intention this year to practice self-care I was scrolling through my Facebook feed and saw an article called, "This Is What 'Self-Care REALLY Means, Because It's Not All Salt Baths And Chocoloate Cake." (Read the full post here.) What's wrong with a salt bath?, I wondered when I saw it. Or chocolate cake for that matter?

All kidding aside, of course self-care is complicated. If it wasn't, everyone would be doing it and we wouldn't need articles to explain it to us. 

What does self-care mean to the author?
